SV-240 Codec are SCom innovated, DSP technology based MPEG-4@SP digital video encoding and decoding equipment. Providing flexible working mode options, SV-240 enable the configuration of single/multi-channel encoding or decoding to address the application requirements of real time digital encoding and decoding on analog A/V signals, and transmitting through 10/100 Mbps Ethernet.SV-240 Codec have functions of remote setting, operating and management, real-time collecting and transmitting of site alarming signals, and performing control on other field external equipments.

SV-240 codec are applicable in various video surveillance systems as well as in the areas such as video conference, remote education, network VOD, and etc.They are especially suitable for the digital video applications where low bit rate transmission (less than 2Mbit/s) is required.

There are three models of SV-240:

SV-240A:Standard 1U Pizaa box, 1¡«4 channel
   
SV-240AL: Smaller chassis, 1¡«4 channel
   

SV-240LS:Compact chassis, 1 channel

    Powerful Function

  • MPEG-4@SP algorithm, applicable for the video transmission under low bit rate (less than 2Mbit/s). When the bandwidth is at 1.5Mbps, the real time encoding/decoding transmission of video pictures at D1 (720 x 576) and PAL 25 frame per second (or NTSC 30 frame per second) can be achieved.

  • By using RS232 port or IP interface, the equipment can be upgraded either on-site by the engineers or by downloading the program from Scom¡¯s web site.
